Stillglass turns a work session into one bounded visual β sand falling through an hourglass, a ring closing, a glass filling with water. You can see how much time is left at a glance, without a countdown ticking at you.
Everything here exists to keep your attention on the work rather than on the clock.
An hourglass, a closing ring or a rising water level. Each timer remembers the visual you picked for it.
Set up "Deep work 50" or "Reading 25" once, with its own duration, visual, colour and cues. After that it is one click.
Shrink the window into a compact timer that stays above your other windows, so the visual stays with you while you work elsewhere.
Paused time is never counted as focus, and if you are still in flow when the timer ends you can extend instead of starting over.
Focused minutes per day and week, the timers you actually use, and progress against the daily and weekly targets you set.
A plain surface where nothing moves but the timer, optional ambient sound and end chime, and a reduce-motion setting.
Three steps, and then it stays out of your way.
Choose a duration and a visual, give it a name you will recognise, and save it to your sidebar.
Click the timer to begin. Send it into floating mode if you want it visible while you work in another app.
Every finished session lands in your rhythm view, so the habit becomes something you can actually see.
The things people usually want to know first.
No. Your timers and session history are stored on your own computer. Nothing is uploaded, there is no analytics or tracking, and no advertising.
No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to. Open the app and start a session.
Yes, entirely. Stillglass never needs a network connection to do anything.
Stillglass is free. There is no subscription, no trial period and nothing to unlock inside the app.
Only the focus time you actually spent is kept. Closing the window, reloading, or letting the machine sleep will not inflate your record or quietly lose the time you put in.
A session that is stopped almost immediately is discarded rather than saved, so your history does not fill up with empty entries.
Yes. The digits are optional and can be shown beneath the visual if you prefer having both.

No. Stillglass is a light, quiet surface by design, so the timer visual is the only thing that draws the eye.

Set a duration, watch the glass, and let the session run itself.
